Women are equity deserving people still striving for safe spaces to share our stories and hard won wisdom. Thousands of years of various forms of oppression continue around the world, with rights being further stripped every day.
At a time with social media platforms and major publication owners imposing suppression of our bodies, language, and knowledge sharing, we are well poised to safeguard these precious territories. As an independent print-only publication, Raven Tongue offers opportunity for uncensored art and keeps a very light touch when editing the lived experiences and hard-won wisdom of women. UNESCO's “Women in History” initiative reports only 0.5% of recorded history is about, or written by, women. Our publication is woman owned, with a focus on centring and raising our multifaceted voices and relationships with the divine feminine. Two copies of each edition of Raven Tongue is sent to Library and Archives Canada, one of the largest libraries in the world, to be protected in world class preservation vaults for future public access.
