Open Call for Submissions
While our big annual submission date has passed, one-off feature pieces will always be accepted for inclusion as pages periodically open in any given edition. Currently we are specifically seeking: short poetry, new music releases, art, and feature length articles as we have limited space available in our Summer 2026 edition.

Annual Closing Date
February 1st 2026 is our submission deadline for the Autumn 2026, Winter 2026, Spring 2027 & Summer 2027 annual cycle.
If you are looking to join, or continue with, our Raven Tongue family, all submissions for the full year and accompanying items must be submitted on or before February 1st to ensure inclusion, using the online form at the bottom of this page.

To Qualify for Consideration
Our mandate is to offer practical guidance and heart speak to our readers, with relevancy for our modern times.
Each submission intends to offer either hard won wisdom, helpful practices, or supportive information, and/or meet our readership community through a sense of kinship, bearing witness, inspiration, or speaking to things that deeply matter yet receive little attention - particularly topics with a reputation for being considered as 'taboo'.
Contributors draw from their lived experiences and may take an academic approach, share through storytelling, or a combination of both.
Our readership niche tends to be perimenopausal or postmenopausal women in the northern hemisphere, but certainly include maidens, elders, non-binary folx, and yes, even a few men!
Please either read a copy of Raven Tongue, view a sample few pages, or peruse our range of topics list before pitching your idea or contribution as further defined below. This helps ensure you have a good feel of what we're about, increases chances of acceptance, and saves everyone time and energy.

Reading Fee
Beginning January 1st 2026, new potential contributors with unsolicited proposals or submissions to Raven Tongue will be asked to donate a reading fee on a sliding scale basis between $5 - $25 CAD
For writers with financial barrier, non tendered exchange agreements will be available.
Previous contributors, and writers or creatives directly invited by Juliette to contribute, will continue without reading fees requested.
If you've been published in our pages before, this reading fee donation doesn't apply to you.

Before we can publish your submissions, each contributor must sign our Contributor Agreement Form. Downloading a preview is highly recommended before submitting, and don't hesitate to ask questions. Please note our restrictions on Generative AI also includes not using it for structural organization, formatting or editing.
